August 2011 bis Juli 2013
Abstract
The BASKET partnership will focus on different aspects of the professional development of basic skills teachers in Europe. By basic skills we refer to reading, writing, oral communication, everyday math and digital competence. The partnership will investigate national strategies and systems for professional development of basic skills trainers for adults such as the qualifications required to be a basic skill teacher, models for delivering the training and the content of the training in different countries. We will also discuss different challenges related to this in the partner countries.
The BASKET partnership will advocate for the importance of creating good models and systems for training basic skill teachers for adults. It will promote the importance of establishing good models for delivery of the training as well as focus on how to support and motivate teachers to attend such training. Development of professional basic skills teachers and developing good models for the delivery of the training will improve the quality of the end product, learning provision.
The main outcome of BASKET will be a draft of recommendations for further development of professional development of basic skills teachers. The recommendations will treat different aspects related to the development of basic skills, policy as well as practice.
Fragestellung
